This mudroom almost didn’t happen because we were over budget, but I’m so glad we were able to squeeze in! By removing the closet we not only opened up the space, but now had proper shoe cubbies under the bench. Before our shoes just got thrown into that big closet & it was always a mess. You can’t tell in this picture, but on either side of the bench there are matching storage cabinets. One has shelves and the other is a coat closet. I love how inviting this room for guests now.

Kitchen organization was something super important to us when designing this kitchen at our house. We had a tiny bit of extra room to add in this pull out pantry. Being able to reach everything was so nice! What do you think? I’ll share some more organization features we also added soon!

Happy Monday! As we are figure out basement plans for our newest remodel/flip project, I thought I’d share this before and after of our old house. Overall it was a pretty simple makeover. We added a new ceiling, lights, hardwood floors, and paint, BUT what a difference it made! This room went from barely used to an great play area for our boys.

Fake it till you make it! I’ve been on the hunt for flowers to fill these boxes for a couple of weeks. Here in Minnesota our flower and garden shops don’t have plants for sale yet. Pictures are being taken of the home tomorrow so I went to and found these tulip bunches on sale, half off for $2 each. About $100 dollars later I have plenty of flowers to fill 4 boxes. I’m calling it a win! 🙌🏻 🌷💐🌷

We love to repurpose unused/unfinished space in our remodels. At our current project two bedrooms upstairs both have matching storage closets with slanted ceilings. We are staging both bedrooms for kids, so we thought how cool would it be for each room to have its own secret playroom! What kid wouldn’t love that?! This stairway is my favorite stairway we have remodeled to date. High ceilings + Lots of natural light, yes please! 😍 We painted the trim & walls, had the stairs refinished and brought back to their original glory, updated the light fixture, and replaced the old window.

Flash Back Friday Transformation: Tiny Bedroom Gains Some Space. SWIPE 👉🏻 To See Transformation. Thanks to a 2nd closest space in the bedroom next to this one, we were able to make this tiny bedroom bigger, and not take away from the size of the other room. It was a win-win! 🙌🏻🙂 It’s still a small bedroom, but now big enough to be a comfortable sized living space for a child. For this flip we are having it staged as a nursery.
