A.C. Hoyt Hardware Inc We're so much more than just a hardware store! In 1962 - Arleigh and Marie Hoyt purchased the two buildings from the Brooks Family. Mr.

Brooks' wife was granddaughter to C.W. Hopkins - who built and opened the hardware store in 1880. The building to the left of Hopkin's was originally "Burlison's Hardware". Burlison was eventually bought out by Hopkins. He then operated both businesses side by side for a number of years eventually leasing the left building for interested retailers. Years later his granddaughter and her husband had

the the two buildings joined. in 1962 - Arliegh re-opened the store as a member of the "American Hardware" Corp. - which was eventually bought out by "Servi-Star" Corp - which - in turn - was eventually bought out by "True Value" Corp. The business has undergone many changes in the years its been open. As of 2012 Arliegh and Marie celebrated 50 years in business. After 50+ years in business the only thing that HASN'T changed is our paint. Benjamin Moore paint has been sold from this location sense its foundation in 1883 (only three years after Hopkins originally opened his business doors)
