Fun Friday on the farm 🐷❄️

Did you know pigs grow a thicker layer of fat and hair in colder months to help regulate their body temperature? Nature built them tougher than they look.

Still cute. Still hungry. Still running the farm. 😂

A little farm throwback 🐥✨

Did you know the first 6–8 weeks are crucial for chick development? Proper feed, clean water, and space to grow lay the foundation for strong laying hens later on.
Quality eggs start long before the first one is ever laid.

From tiny fluff to full flock, we’re committed every step of the way. 🤎

We don’t just talk about hard work, we practice it. 🤎

On our farm, our kids learn that food doesn’t magically appear in a grocery store. It’s grown, gathered, and cared for.

Teaching stewardship. Teaching patience. Teaching gratitude.
One chore at a time. 🐓✨

First bloom of the season. And she’s a showstopper. 🍋✨

Our lemon tree decided today was the day. Just a tiny white bud, but it feels like a massive win.

The scent? Better than any candle you can buy.

There’s a lesson in that for us too. Growth isn't always loud. It doesn't always come with a fanfare. Sometimes it’s just a single, quiet bud opening up because the timing is finally right.

It’s a reminder that even in the slow seasons, there’s work happening beneath the surface. 🤍

We’re soaking up this little bit of indoor sunshine today. 💛

Are you seeing any first signs of spring yet? Tell me what’s blooming in your neck of the woods.

Spring is whispering. Even if the air still feels a bit crisp, the greenhouse is alive.

We’re trying something new this year: Seed Snails. 🐌🌱

If you haven’t seen these, they’re essentially little rolls of soil and seeds. The best part? You can fit over 40 plants in just one snail! It’s a total game-changer for saving space.

They hold moisture perfectly, and honestly? They make me feel like a garden sushi chef. 🍣

The results have been incredible. Strong roots. Healthy starts. Some have even graduated to the soil already. There’s a lesson in these little rolls. Sometimes, being tucked in tight is exactly what you need to grow strong before you face the big wide world.

What are you starting in your trays this week? 🤍✨

The garden crew is officially on the clock. 🐓

There is something deeply satisfying about watching the girls do exactly what they were made to do. Right now, they’re my hardest working employees. No complaints. No hourly wage. Just pure, focused energy.

They’re scratching through every inch of these beds. Turning the soil better than any tiller ever could. They’re finding the hidden w**d seeds. Hunting down the bugs that would otherwise pester our seedlings. And, of course, they’re leaving behind some high-quality fertilizer as they go.

It’s nature’s cycle at its finest. They get a snack, the soil gets a boost, and I get a head start on spring planting. There’s a lesson in that for us, too. Sometimes the best way to move forward is to let things happen naturally.

Nature doesn’t hurry, yet everything gets accomplished.

We’re getting closer to seed time, friends. The dirt is waking up and so are we.

How are your garden preps coming along? 🤍🌱

Fun Friday reminder:
Chickens don’t panic in winter.
They adapt.
Thicker feathers. Closer community. Steady routine.
There’s a lesson in that for us too. 😉❄️
