Amazing New Home

In 1998 I was given the opportunity to design an addition to The Edmond Public Library. It was originally built in the 1970's. Our addition expanded the libraries capacity, rearranged the entiure operational structure and added Children's learning centers and Adult Reading room. It was and still is one of Edmond's most recognized buildings. We completed the design and construction in 2000. Over the past 20 years the Edmond Public Library has become the most efficient and most heavily used library in the entire Metropolitan Library System.

In 2018 I was asked to be the architect for a major renovation to the library. The renovation will include all new HVAC systems, new ceilings and floor coverings in addition to a trash enclosure, dock roof and new roof over the entire structure. The renovations and updates are badly needed to keep the library operating at its peak performance.

It is a honor and a privlege to be allowed to act as the architect for a building we designed 20 years ago. This is an honor many architects do not get the opportunity to partake in. I take this responsibility very seriously.

Design changes have been made and approved by the City of Edmond for the design of the Melvin Moran Veterans's Park which will be loacted at the northwest end of Lake Arcadia, near the dam at what is now called "Lookout Point". While the park will be open to the public, the design intent is to provide a park designed to meet the special needs of our disabled veterans and first responders who have done and given so much for us. The land for the park is being provided by The City of Edmond while the park amenities are being funded by Partners For Heros charity.

The Sanctuary addition at New Hope UMC is designed to "blend in with" or "fit" with the exisitng campus. The use of materials to match the exisitng new building to the exisitng. The prominent location of the new Sanctuary at the center of the site, the new steeple, along with the new entrance drivewill draw visitors to the new welcome center/Gathering Area.

Work is progressing on the design of the New Hope United Methodist Church Sanctuary Additionm. The new Sanctuary is being designed to create a warm comfortable worshipful environment, incuding exposed wood and stone. The initial design will seat 400+ and will be expandable to 550+.
