Recently we have been invaded! Caterpillars for the Swallowtail Butterfly have attacked our RUE Rue is a food source for the caterpillar that eats the leaf , climbs up under an awning to create a cocoon , which in turn becomes a beautiful butterfly and hatches out in a few weeks .

I counted about 20 Caterpillars on just these 2 Rue plants

We have Rue and Milkweed available regularly so Mother Nature continues to cycle and our youngsters learn the importance of food sources for those beautiful flyers called Butterflies!

Milkweed flowers and plants look similar to oleanders .

If you see these worms on ur milkweed or rue leave them be . Do not spray for they normally will only eat on their food sources.
