Why are messes stressful and anxiety-inducing?

There are 8 main reasons:

▪️ Clutter makes us feel overwhelmed since it exposes us to a lot of unimportant stimuli, thereby causing our senses to work overtime.

▪️It takes our attention away from things we should focus on.

▪️ It makes it more difficult for us to relax mentally and physically.

▪️ It signals to our brains that our work is never finished.

▪️ It makes us think about how we’re going to tidy up all the mess.

▪️ It makes us feel guilty for not being more organized and embarrassed, especially when someone pays us an unexpected visit.

▪️ It hinders our productivity and creativity.

▪️ It frustrates us by making it more difficult for us to find what we need.

Luckily, unlike other life stressors, such as our relationships or jobs, clutter can be easily fixed. And, I can help with that!

Happy New Year’s everyone!!
This is a new year with many of you making resolutions on making healthy choices to better yourself.
With saying that it's time to tidy up your home just like food changes, and workout changes.
Start with the pantry this will help with the healthy choices you are making in your diet.
Over the holidays we seem to get a lot of sweets, chips, crackers, sodas, cookies etc...
Pull everything out of Pantry, That way you have nothing on shelfs and you can start clean.
I would get rid of all the candy, if you want to keep some of the candy I would put them up high and out of site. Use them for rewards.
Organize the shelfs with healthy items for example: Protein powders, Bars, Nuts, Oats and Dried fruit etc. would go in one section.
Can fruit, soup, tuna, chicken, can go on another shelf; you get what I am saying.
Make an area for your kids with healthy choices and easy for them to see and reach.
When everything is out of Pantry you can see all the things that may not be that healthy for you and you can make better choices this way. If you have anything that is not open and may not go with your diet put in a bag and you can donate the items.
In a couple weeks I would start on the closets. If you have not worn it in a year you know what to do with it! DONATE .
When your closets are organized you feel better about yourself.
There is no clutter, no cloths half way hung, things hanging off the shelfs, floor is cleared you’re not stepping on shoes and you can now walk into your closet and feel good about yourself.

This is a great piece of advice for you to keep in mind!

Staying organized through your move.

With so much to keep in order and account for during a move, being organized isn't an option - it's a necessity!

I just moved my daughter from California to Arkansas. Here are a few tips that helped made the move a bit easier for us:

1. Label your boxes by room and when you get to new house make sure they put boxes in the right rooms that way you don’t have chaos.
2. Unpack one box at a time
3. Start with one room first . When your done go to the next.
I have seen in some clients homes boxes are all over open and not open and it’s pure chaos
