💛🎗️ SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎗️💛
This month, we’re going GOLD at Slay’s Nursery — and we want to tell y’all a little bit about an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts: The BaxStrong Foundation.
BaxStrong exists all because a little boy led them. 💛
Baxter Duddy was diagnosed with Ependymoma brain cancer at just 4 years old. He relapsed three times and continued fighting each battle with a smile on his face. Baxter passed away at only 8 years old on August 10, 2019, but his incredible smile and his story continue to make a difference.
The BaxStrong Foundation was created in his honor and works to raise awareness for childhood cancer, sponsor children through Pilots for Christ, and send Baxter’s Smile Boxes to children fighting cancer all across the United States. Each box is filled with arts and crafts, Play-Doh, sensory toys and plenty of fun — all with one goal: putting a BIG smile on a child’s face. ❤️
