Thank you to all of the veterans and service members who gave their lives so we could live with the freedoms we enjoy every single day in the greatest country on earth.

I have never personally served in the armed forces, but many members of my family made the choice to put their lives on the line for this country and for people they would never even meet. I recognize the sacrifice, courage, and selflessness that takes, and I will never take it for granted.

Today isn’t just about a long weekend it’s about remembering the men and women who paid the ultimate price so the rest of us could live free.
