Starting today, Thrive Garden Pots will have some of my wares at Antique Lily, just south of Elizabeth City NC on Rt 17 in Hertford. Don’t miss Antique Lily’s Annual Open House which will run for 9 days. The beautifully decorated barn is a must-see, and this year the proprietor has added local artisans such as me. New this year, my mini journals. Each a unique, small blank book made with repurposed and recycled papers. Makes a wonderful stocking stuffer!

I’ve reached a milestone of 50 likes! Impressive for the year of epic disasters. Thank you so very much. I’m always looking at what or who is managing to thrive and flourish. October has arrived here in northeastern North Carolina, and these bronze and delicious scuppernong grapes have certainly thrived. Enjoy this most beautiful month, breathe it in, let it go.

And just like that, from one day to the next, summer is on the wane in northeastern North Carolina. The cicadas are still deafening, but the sun is setting a little earlier; flowers are finishing up. Still trying to navigate your way to thriving and flourishing? It is not getting any easier, despite time passing. Celebrate a small thing today.

I am so appreciative of the recent week or two, where Thrive Garden Pots received A LOT of new likes! Many thanks to each of you. This morning, a break in the relentless humidity and heat of coastal North Carolina permitted me to finally get outdoors and pull some weeds. Revealed was my “Hope” garden brick. I hope this post finds you well; I hope this finds you practicing some way to thrive and flourish; I hope it gives you Hope that so many broken things in our country and in our world are going to change for the better soon. Over this summer, owner Jo Gummere at her Lily, , just south of Elizabeth City, graciously invited me to put some of my wares in her beautiful barn. She features some local artisans as well as showcases her incredible eye for antiques, room decor, and repurposed items. I’m sharing a picture for a quick glimpse. Please stay safe! ~ thank you.

Many thanks for the new ‘likes’ and followers! Nothing is any less challenging than my last post. I suggest: Celebrate the small in your everyday life. We had fireflies the other night; I stuck a garden rose in a pickle jar To bring in for the table. Support your own sense of what brings you joy, or peace, or love.

Now is certainly a challenging, if not impossible, time to ‘thrive’. Thank you for your views, they are waaay up the last two weeks because we are all home trying to survive, not thrive. Get outdoors if at all possible, no matter where you are. Breathe some fresh air, listen for what you can hear. Here in northeastern North Carolina, spring is popping. The weeds ARE flourishing, that’s for certain. Be well.

Today is the first that I puttered around outdoors. So happy to see a salvia beginning to ‘thrive’ again. If we breathe in the new and breathe out the old, we’ll find our way through. Kindness counts. Thanks for your views over the last few months.

Happy New Year to my Thrive friends: are you doing anything to ‘flourish’ as January ends? We have had a quite mild winter season to date here in northeastern North Carolina, but most of my family and close friends are in the midst of a typical cold Northern winter. I’m thinking about possibilities for Thrive Garden Pots in 2020, and encourage you to thrive and flourish where you are planted.
