Thanksgiving has a way of putting the dining table to work.

I’m opening two spots in my fall shop schedule for custom solid hardwood dining tables, with guaranteed delivery by Thanksgiving.

For these two builds, if we finalize the design, sign a contract, and the deposit is paid by September 13, I’ll include a matching solid hardwood bench at no additional cost.

Most dining table projects fall in the $5,000–$7,000 range, depending on size, hardwood, and design.
You don’t need to come to me with a finished design. The traditional, A-frame, and pedestal tables shown here are starting points, not a catalog. We can change the size, proportions, wood, finish, and details to fit your space and what you like.

If you’re interested, send me a message with how many people you’d like to seat and, if possible, a photo of the room where the table will go. That’s enough to get started.

Built in my shop in Elizabeth, PA, with delivery available throughout the greater Pittsburgh area.

My kid made this in Laid out, cut and formed sheetmetal, spot welded and finished. He's been coming out and working with me on weekends, on his own initiative. Talking about the future and his opportunities Protect shop class or industrial arts (and music, extracurricular science, art, etc) in your schools if you still have it, fight to bring it back if you've lost it - regardless of whether you have kids

1880s house, door might be a little newer but it's had a long life. Getting the full treatment and will be good to go for another 150 years

This is such a great video that breaks down something often misunderstood. In our region much of the residential stock is a century+ old. A lot of it was built at least partially from masonry so this isn't always an issue, but when exploring repairs and renovations to your home, knowing how it was built and discussing how new work might affect that is important.

So I know a lot of my people are still tabletop gamers, and lots more of you are crafty. Popped into my real, local hardware store (first option whenever possible) and boom - they are now an official dealer. More importantly, all those specialty model paints and brushes you can't walk into a store and buy anymore? Now you can, so many colours and more coming each restock.

Experimenting with black finishes for a client, all red oak. L to R we have , transtint dye in acetone, and finally old school ebonizing with 0000 steel wool in 30% vinegar. Which do you like?
