Celebrating Teachers with Student Appreciation Posts: Landscape & Horticulture: Instructor Brittany Rigdon.
"My instructor has taught me many things. How to pot a plant, how to plant a flower, how to tell the difference between an oak and a maple. Many things. But that’s just the curriculum, I could have learned that from anyone. But what makes my teacher different is the things she taught me outside of that. She taught me confidence, perseverance, and how to pick myself up when I’ve fallen down. She’s taught me independence, and helped me trust myself more. She taught me that I can accomplish more than I think. And to believe in myself more than I do. I went into my program a much different person than I am coming out. I know things I didn’t know before, and not just what on earth deciduous means. I know more about life, myself, what I want to do with my future, and who I want to be. And that wouldn’t have been possible, without my instructor, Mrs. Rigdon. "
"She is so kind and the funniest person I ever met. Everything Mrs. Rigdon does for me and the opportunities she gives me. She is a wonderful teacher and makes us students feel like we are apart of something in life and always ask for our opinion. She gets us students excited to learn and always makes our day better even when she has us doing the hardest thing or make us doing something we hate doing for the Rigdon‘s sweat shop. Thank you Mrs. Rigdon for everything you do for me I appreciate you more then you know. "
"I appreciate Mrs. Rigdon’s trust in her students to get done what she asks of us, I never feel like I have someone watching my back all the time"
