Off to a good start with nice nodal root development. Corn relies on seed until v3 for its energy and transition to roots and photosynthesis for energy after. Most of the April corn is up to v5 with some pushing v6. Side dress season is upon us 😎🌽🇺🇸

Dropped tape in several planting dates today. Currently sitting really good with stands coming in 95%+ of drop rate often. Not a lot of cruising except where very high clay content. A 1” rain would do wonders for everything but especially some of those clay areas that didn’t close up the best or had crusting issues. The beans are coming nice depending on planting date and tillage practice but always seem slow. My helper is far from the best counter….
