General information
This project is to dredge Pheasant Lake of the excess silt build up over the years. With the flooding in the area the silt has been filling up the lake, thus making it shallow in several areas. This is causing problems in that the weeds are taking over the lake, the boating and swimming areas are getting smaller and the lake cannot hold as much water in the event of another flood. Which is also affecting the fishing in both quality and quantity of fish. If the weeds continue to grow at the rate they are, they will suffocate the lake and the fish and other wildlife that call it home.
