Built during World War II as part of Delaware's coastal defense system, Tower 3 has watched over our coastline for generations.

Today, its nine cobalt-blue lights help keep this historic landmark shining after dark.

Storms can show you a lot about your property.

Heavy rain, damaging winds, and hail can leave behind broken branches, washed-out mulch, standing water, drainage issues, and areas where grading may need attention.

After a storm, take a walk around your property and check for:

- Standing water near beds, patios, walkways, or foundations
- Washed-out mulch or soil
- Broken limbs or damaged plant material
- Low spots where water is collecting
- Irrigation heads that may have shifted or been damaged

Lots of rain can make problem areas easier to spot, especially drainage and grading issues that are harder to see during dry weather.
