Jasmine's Bunting Company was solely designed because of the tremendous need for young adults with special needs that 'age-out' of the school system...that cannot find a place to work. Jasmine started sewing at my business, SEW INSPIRED when she was 10 years old. She had a natural knack for it and started making namesake bunting for her friends as birthday gifts and soon enough she started getting
more requests from family members for holiday and baby shower bunting gifts. Her special needs friends started coming to the stitch lounge to help her with her small orders and before I knew it...Jasmine was teaching her friends how to sew and create. Earlier this year she had a booth at the Farmers Market in Solana Beach and was very well received. We hope to grow into a real live sewing factory and employ lots of young adults with special needs. We hope to not only have steady jobs for them but include a mini-cultural school environment where we help our yadults (short for young adults with special needs) stay current on social events, social trends and create an atmosphere of learning and growing. And why not add gym membership after work to provide the opportunity for the kiddos to further hang out with their peers and stay in good shape!?! Every dollar you spend with us helps to provide work for our DIFFERENTLY ABLED citizens, the joy of having a place to go each day, the dignity of learning new skills, the social nourishment of working with friends...insuring a happier, brighter future!
