Saturday by appointment I started painting in my family business Monmaney's Master Painters at fourteen years old.

My father Harry Monmaney Jr. had me start on small projects as other beginner painters,
by painting stacks of shutters and simple projects such as decks. Throughout my highschool years increasingly larger projects were given to me. I was assigned a client a crew member and
a contract and introduced to the client and given a deadline to complete
the given job. By the time I was in college I would

come home in the summers and lead a crew of my own
as a foreman. It was a great learning experience to lead a team and manage
a painting project from beginning to end. After I received my degree I was looking for another job, but also kept on in the family
business as a payroll administrator. In 2002 at the age of twenty seven I was ready for something bigger. With the help of my father and a long time friend and employee of his we started a third satellite
branch of our family business in Dover, NH. Heading up that branch I learned a lot. Now I was responsible for a crew of about twelve painters
two foreman and every aspect of a painting business. I did the advertising, generating leads,
scheduling estimates, meeting new clients, figuring estimates, mailings, trade shows, managing
employees, setting up equipment, managing the bank account, maintaining the equipment, interviewing
and hiring of new employees and networking with the local Chamber of Commerce to promote our
business in the New Hampshire seacoast community. I have always enjoyed the hands on work and meeting new clients and the satisfaction
of working on homes throughout the Upper Valley and greater Upper Valley region. Integrity and quality were values that were instilled in me by my late father
and his business practices. Its great to meet a new or existing client and
look at their project and know they are excited to see my years of experience transform their home.
