The Barbados Cherry tree has so many blooms! Finally! 🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒🌸🍒

It was very productive the first two seasons I had it, but it never kept any fruit this past season. So I was extremely excited when I saw this SECOND batch of blooms this season. I love these cherries, they’re a little tart, but the darker they get, the sweeter they are. Plus, they’re very high in vitamin C!

A little sunshine on a cloudy day 🌞🌻🌞

I loved our sunflowers this year. We started a hugelkulture type layered raised bed for them and we didn’t pack the soil in enough so we had some holes eventually and the flowers started leaning from shallow roots and heavy flowers.

At least we know we need to add more soil and compost at the end of this season to give the plants a more sturdy and secure footing.

Gardening is always trial and error isn’t it? Kinda like life in general. What works for some may not work for all. You just have to find out what works for you in your environment. Learn what makes you (and your garden) thrive!

🌼🌸 I finally decided that I’m going to start selling seedlings and cuttings from my lovely little garden. I’m starting a variety of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and houseplants! For now it will be local pick up only, but eventually I’d like to offer shipping! If you really, really would like a plant shipped in the meantime I’d be happy to accommodate! 🌼🌸

This isn’t cannabis… it’s Cassava Yuca! We dug up this wonderful tree for its tasty roots this year. Now it’s growing throughout one of our garden beds. We’re also hoping to propagate more trees from its cuttings.

When my dad passed away in 2019 I inherited his lovely century plant. At the time it was one singular plant that needed some love. Fast forward to now and it is thriving with so many little babies! It makes my heart so full to see one of his happy little plants thriving in my care. It’s almost like I’m growing a little peace of him.

I miss him so so much and in a way being close to the things he loved makes me feel like maybe he’s not so far away. I love you forever, dad. ❤️
