Right pic was May of 22. Left pic was May 23.

22 garden didn’t do good at all. Squash and okra did fair, but everything else bombed. Not 1 green bean was harvested.

23 was a different story. Everything flourished. Green beans looked like the wall at Wrigley Field. What changed—I did away with the boxes (which wasn’t the problem) and used that soil to mix in with the compost I’ve been working on for several years. That was the difference maker. I didn’t till the compost in, basically just spread on top of the soil where the seed was planted. Feed the soil and the soil feeds your plants.

If you’re having problems with your soil, instead of pumping it with fertilizer—try composting instead. If your soil is good then make it great with compost.

Or call/msg/text and I’ll take care of it. 😎

As everyone scurrying to buy firewood, make sure it is seasoned. Easiest way to tell….

Hit the sticks together. If it thuds—-not ready maybe next year or 2. If it has sharp crack sound like a baseball hit—-prime time.

Or if it burns blue…..have mercy.

Get it in and let it marinate before growing season. Your trees and garden will thrive.

If there is a secret sauce…it’s compost/mulch. Like Frank’s hot sauce—-I put that s**t on everything.

I wanted to start this thing during a crucial time of year—especially for trees. Now through late February is the ideal time to plant, prune and remove trees. 1 of many—how it started, how’s it going—-18mos when done right.
