If you’re hiring someone to work on your home in Enterprise, this is worth paying attention to 👇
The City of Enterprise requires contractors and service businesses to have a valid business license—and depending on the job, proper state licensing as well.
We fully support this.
Over the years, a large portion of our work at Mr Odd Job has come from fixing jobs that were done incorrectly the first time. Unfortunately, many homeowners end up paying twice—once for the original work, and again to have it repaired properly.
Cut corners, lack of experience, and unlicensed work can lead to serious issues—especially in kitchens and bathrooms where plumbing, electrical, and structural details matter.
Before hiring anyone, don’t be afraid to:
✔️ Ask for a business license
✔️ Ask about experience with your specific type of project
✔️ Ask questions about how the work will be done
Doing your homework upfront can save you thousands later.
We take pride in doing things the right way the first time, and in helping homeowners feel confident in the process.
The City of Enterprise, Ala. Revenue Department is happy to answer questions about contractors and service businesses working in our community.
All contractors and service businesses must have a City of Enterprise business license to operate in Enterprise. Residents are encouraged to ask contractors to show proof of their city license before work begins.
📞 For questions, contact the Revenue Department at (334) 348-2674 Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Depending on the type of work, state licensing requirements may also apply for services such as roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and homebuilding.
