Old homes, they keep us humble ❤️

This Manchester, NH remodel was a massive project and took a lot of time and detail work to get everything just right.

First 7 photos are the finished results. The rest are the before photos.

Work completed on this project included:

• Living room walls and ceiling painted
• Hallway walls and ceilings painted
• Downstairs hallway painted
• Garage painted
• Stairs sanded and poly finished
• Railings refinished
• Trim painting throughout the home
• Interior doors painted

One of the biggest challenges was matching the original wood stains throughout the house.

Different areas required different tones to keep everything consistent with the home’s original look:

• Living room baseboard and door trim stain matched
• Hallway trim matched to a separate original stain color
• Stained glass pocket doors custom two-tone stained to match each room they connect

Projects like this take patience and a lot of attention to detail, but the transformation makes it worth it.

We know you missed us (we missed you!)… we’re back. 👏🏼

And we’re doing a lot more than just painting.

This recent project in Bristol, NH was a full attic restoration after years of wildlife damage: rodent droppings, urine contamination, damaged insulation, and mold starting to develop. Our team completed a full cleanup and restoration.

• Removed all contaminated insulation
• HEPA vacuumed all droppings and debris
• Sanitized and sterilized every attic bay
• Treated and eliminated mold
• Installed a new v***r barrier
• Reinstalled fresh insulation

Sometimes the work goes far beyond paint, but restoring homes the right way is always the goal.

🎄 Christmas Came Early at Selig & Son! 🎄

Confession time: our Social Media Director thought she could paint her own cabinets… and those cabinets promptly filed a complaint. 😅

After realizing her “Pinterest confidence” did not match her actual skill level, she made the smartest holiday decision yet. She called in the professionals.

Enter Selig & Son! From DIY disaster to holiday-ready perfection, we took her cabinets from “oh no…” to “OH WOW!” in just three days (with one snow day to recover from the trauma). ❄️✨

She’s so shocked at the transformation, she’s already hung garland like it’s the North Pole in there. 🎁🌿

Behind the Scenes 👀

Before every smooth, durable, gorgeous cabinet finish is a whole lot of prep you never see. We’re getting a new cabinet project ready today, and that means:
• Degreasing every surface
• Sanding everything down
• Filling every nick and dent
• Priming for the perfect base

It’s not glamorous, but it’s what makes your cabinets look brand new again and stay that way. Quality starts long before the paint goes on.

We take that part seriously. 👏🏼

Hello, December! 🤍✨

We’re wrapping up the year with a beautiful full-home repaint in Hooksett, NH, and what a transformation it’s been. This cozy home got the complete Selig & Son treatment from top to bottom:

❄️A refreshed 3rd-floor loft with newly painted walls, ceilings, and trim (plus some careful ceiling and wall patchwork)
❄️Second-floor updates including the bathroom, hallway, and left bedroom—walls and trim brought back to life with two clean coats
❄️A brightened kids’ room with fresh ceilings, walls, and trim
❄️And the entire first floor fully repainted: ceilings, walls, and trim for a seamless, finished look

The homeowners chose Simplify Beige as their main color, a warm and inviting shade perfect for the winter season. As always, we used premium Sherwin-Williams products to ensure durability and beautiful coverage.
