(337-937-5779) Our price for house leveling will usually be around 1.25 per square foot for most homes. Sometimes a home was built with a shortage of blocks or beams and that will change the price. My fee is based on time required to achieve a level home. Not always on the size. You can have two identical sized homes, and one will require six hours to level and one will require 10 or more hours to level. It's not exactly fair pricing to charge full price per square foot for a home that is fairly easy to level. But others in this business will. The final price will depend on a few different factors, which is why I spend more time studying your problem then others who visit to give you an estimate. If you give me the job, how will I know what to show up with, if I haven't studied it closely. I have certain things I look for when determining if you need additional blocks or beams under you home. If your blocks are more than 8 foot apart, we will likely need to add more blocks, as too much distance between blocks will cause a sag that can only be adjusted if we add more blocks. The fee per extra block added will be about 80.00 on average. You will see some foundation companies charging as much 3 or 4 dollars per square foot to level a home For the exact same job I do for 1.50 per square foot for homes under 2000 ft.² . We only work on pier/beam homes, not cracked slabs. So I don't have that extra 150k in tools like the others. So on the rare occasion someone calls asking about an issue that didn't improve, I can explain it, unlike the others who aren't on the job with their crew. We have re-leveled over 2000 homes in the last 22 years. With this amount of experience I can accurately predict your results before we even start. The others do not take the time to examine your situation close enough to even predict your results. That is by design. Because they will have you sign a work order that indicates you owe full payment regardless of the results. This gives them an out if their guys don't do a great job. (You wouldn't hire a roofer to try and install your roof properly, you expect the best job they can do.)

How do we level a house? We use a rotating laser level. I set it up in the middle of the home in a position that lets me get a laser shot on almost all of the piers. I say almost all, because some times it will miss ten percent of the piers due to pipes blocking the laser or other piers in the way. Sometimes we'll lean the piers down to get a better shot, and sometimes we can use a second laser in a differnt position to fill in the gaps we miss with the first laser. I began using a rotating laser level in 2003. I remember calling all the other professional foundation guys and asking if they used a laser. Not one single foundation company in Acadiana was using a laser level. The absolute most important tool for leveling a home, and they had not embraced it yet. It was about five years later before all of them had utilized the best tool for the job. We first take measurements at all the piers. We then identify the highest pier, and will raise all of the remaining areas to match the highest pier. The laser is running continuously throughout the job. I have a constant reference point when I adjust each pier. Which involves lifting up the low area till it is at the target level. Then we will add spacing on top of the pier, and let the house back down on the block. If you have someone else pay close attention to what tools are used to achieve level. If they show up with only a carpenters level, you are about to get a pathetic level job. If they pull out a ball of string and a transit, that’s a second rate level job.

337-937-5779 When I visit for an estimate, I perform a complete evaluation of the problem. I have to evaluate it completely in order to predict what your results will be. House leveling is not an exact science. Some problems will not be resolved. I will inform you of what the results are likely to be. I've performed this service over 2000 times. I know what the results will be, before I start. Others in the business, will have you sign a contract before they begin work. Read it closely. It says "we will get your home as near level as possible" Know what that means? It means you owe them full payment regardless of the results. You wouldn't pay someone full price just for trying to fix your car, why would you pay them full price just for trying to level your home. If I can't achieve the predicted results, I can't accept full payment.

Other companies offer cracked slab service and house leveling. Some companies offer house moving and house leveling. With these companies, their primary work is not house leveling homes built on piers. That is second or third on their list of services. House leveling on piers is our primary service. We do it more often than they do. House movers shun house leveling work when there is a house to move. The cracked slab repair guys will level pier homes when they don't have a slab to repair.

I make the claim of being the most experienced house leveler in Acadiana. I can back that claim up. Of the 2000 plus leveling jobs we have done, I have been under the house involved in the process on every bit of 99% of those projects. I don't send workers to perform the service. We perform the service. I have spent more time under the house than all the other owners of foundation house leveling companies. Once they get established in business, they send their help to perform the service. This is where their quality suffers. Occasionally a homeowner has questions about the finished project. I can always answer them if I'm on every job. I saw it. I did it.
