Joseph McCormick Construction Company is a family owned heavy highway construction company with over 100 years of experience. We specializing in asphalt paving, excavation, site development, demolition and sanitary/storm sewer installation work for various state, county and city municipalities. We also perform this specialized work for numerous commercial developments and local companies througho

ut Erie County. We are currently running six construction crews consisting of 2 paving crews and 4 crews performing excavation, drainage and milling and utility work.

Today is National Pothole Day! Once you've gotten the snow cleared, make sure to get a look at your driveways, parking lots, and roadways for any potential damage that may have been caused due to the freeze/thaw cycles or other winter maintenance issues. Some of these potholes may be able to be addressed immediately with perma-patch, the cold patch material that we keep on hand at our plant. While other larger areas may need dug out and repaired once the plant re-opens in the springtime.

As Operation Safe Driver Week approaches, July 13th - 17th, remember to follow all traffic laws in and out of the work zone! Whether you are on the crew or just passing by, it is everyone's job to drive appropriately and keep our streets and work zones safe! If you travel by a road crew, please watch out for workers and equipment and follow any directions given by jobsite traffic control. If you're on the crew, always remember to keep your head on a swivel and watch each other's backs.
