New perimeter drain and sump system. Since installed the pump has been engaging every 10-12 minutes! Lots of water!

Common misconception on French drains: Many assume the perforated side of the pipe faces up. The holes face DOWN, so that when water comes in from the weep holes and ground over time the soil doesn't fill the pipe and clog the whole system. As you can see here, this is exactly what happened. Also, you'll want to use larger diameter gravel, such as pond stone, when you have larger weep holes. We jetted these holes and they were all clogged with B2 gravel and soil. You want to use stone that's large enough not to fit inside the weep holes.
