So everyone who knows me knows how fantastic my hair is, and everyone who knew me as a high school swimmer knows how misshapen my head is when shaved, but all that aside on March 16th I am gonna shave it off for children cancer. I hope some of you will find it in your heart to donate to St Baldrick's as children cancer research is woefully underfunded. I am setting a goal of raising $500 but I think we can do better then that! Thanks in advance and sorry about all the upcoming statuses about this.

This St. Baldrick's participant is shaving their head to raise money for childhood cancer research and stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer! Make a donation to support their fundraising efforts.

Euclid Firefighter's Local 337 is asking for your help! As you may or may not know, firefighters are stricken with cancer at alarming rates compared to our civilian counterparts. 1 in 3 firefighters will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That is why Euclid Firefighters Local 337 is participating in the fundraising event known as “Movember”, where many of our members will grow mustaches to raise cancer awareness. We are asking you for help with the fundraising. Please click on the link below and donate any amount to the Firefighter’s Cancer Support Network, a charity that helps firefighters and their families directly in their time of need. We ask that the donation be made in honor of “Euclid Fire”.

Another way to help is by writing to your state representatives in support of Senate Bill 27. This bill creates a presumptive cancer law for fire fighters. Passage of this bill will help firefighters and their families deal with the financial toll when battling these job related cancers. Legislation such as this is already in place in over 40 states, but not Ohio.

Working a plumbing job today and had to run out for a replacement fitting, trying to avoid a trip across town to Home Depot I stopped at Wilke Hardware on East 222nd, the knowledgable staff was able to help me save not only money for the customer but about 20 extra minutes of work. I want to remind and encourage all people in the Euclid area to patronize our local hardware stores such as Wilke and East 200th hardware, both stores staff are knowledgeable and attentive.
