We did this deck last year, and were reminded of this system while we are back doing another project for the same client. Here you see a second story deck with a waterproof bladder system that drains to a gutter. This provides a completely dry space beneath, even allowing for electrical to be ran for a ceiling fan as you see in the video.

Solo 4x10 removal and replacement on a 20’ high deck

We are installing an 8x8 post and 6x10 beam on our current deck project. We had our friends over a Lane Tree Doctor help us move this large lumber with their crane. On this project we set up temporary supports to hold up a third story deck and roof in order to remove the existing 6x6 post and poorly installed footing.

Preview of some work we are getting started on. On this project we will be replacing a 20’ tall post and footing on a third story deck that was installed poorly and in an unsafe manner. Followed by adding a set of stairs for egress to allow access safety access outside from the second story.
