Filling 1 Position. Full Job Description
General Description: Delivery of pond plants and supplies to customers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Northern California, and Reno, Nv from a wholesale plant nursery in Eugene. Each trip includes multiple deliveries. Driver will spend between one and two nights away from home base per trip, barring special circumstances (normally one night). Deliveries will be made to retail outlets and occasionally require collecting payment from the customer. This is a seasonal position with a chance that it could grow to a permanent, year round position with benefits.
Qualifications
Driver's License (Required)

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

Additional Requirements:

Completely clean driving history; will be verified by our insurance company prior to approval
Able to lift 100 pounds; strenuous hand unloading required
Decent presentation and communication skills
Ability to get along well with co-workers and customers
Capable of reading, writing, and comprehending English; our truck is hardwired with an electronic log
Moderate math skills
Good problem solving skills
Able to read and use maps well
A commercial drivers license is not required, but experience with medium sized trucks is a plus (our truck is a Hino automatic, with a 24' box and a maximum gross vehicle weight of 26,000 ponds).

We have a no-drug policy, so if hired, expect to be tested at the beginning, with periodic randomized testing thereafter.

Please supply references.

NOTE: THIS JOB REQUIRES STAYING OUT OF TOWN OVERNIGHT ON MOST TRIPS! Driver is compensated for overnight stays, some compensation for food.

Primary Duties include:
Inputting sales orders on computer
Answering phones
Making calls to customers for weekly orders
Finalizing orders for shipping
Processing mail
General office support duties
Filing papers

This Position requires:
Bilingual a plus, (not required)
Experienced customer service skills
Ability to make effective outbound calls to further support our customers
Punctual, Professional, multi-tasker who is detail oriented
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Proactive, independent thinker who can still work with a team
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Including Excel and Word.

Compensation: Depends on experience,

Physical part of the job:
Sometimes moving boxes that are 1lbs-50lbs about 30 feet to shipping area, sitting at desk for some of shift, free range office, you can get up and move and walk as needed for tasks.
