Duer Creekside Garden and Apiary A Family Starting a new homestead in North East Texas USA

This is our first year that we might have grapes to harvest. We planted couple of varieties, Niagara and Champanel seems to be doing great. Hoping that this will stick up until it is ready to harvest. We also have Darlene that is doing great but we might need to adress a big issue with it.

Our garden is just a year old so when some flowers show off and brings a lot of attention we really enjoy it. The kiddos love watching bees and butterflies working in our garden.
Cant express how satisfied we are with this 1st season flower bed. This Supertunia Vista Bubblegum performs like a workhorse and brings all the flower power we need in the space. And we only planted 7 quartz size each side of the fence. Worth the money and labor that we put into these plants. We will do it again next year.

so much love for our Supertunia Vista Bubblegum. This flower bed brings us so much joy, it is fun to watch bees forage on pollen from the Bubblegum! 🌸

Im obssessed with this area of our yard right now. We planted this flower bed early, March 1, 2026 even with risk of cold weather. Supertunias apparently can take those cold nights even without protection but you will lose all buds and flowers for atleast 2 weeks. The salvias we just covered it with pots and had minimal damage and had bounce back since then. The supertunia bubblegum was planted from quartz and gallon container, we also fertilize with Proven winner watersoluable everyweek. The supertunia bubblegum exceed all my expections, this is the 1st year I use this annual and would definitely use it again next year. We will also plant early next year so we can enjoy the annuals longer and by summer they would have healthier rootsystem and maybe can handle the crazy Texas summer.

Our 2 year old grape vines are full of baby fruits right now. Maybe this is the year we will be getting our first grape harvest πŸ₯° We have a Champanel, Niagara, Reliance and a Darlene Muscadine grapes. We are planning to add more but still trying varieties to make sure we have the right one that we want to grow. 😁

Our future farmstand with atrium greenhouse is up 😁 We still have a lot to do inside and outside of it, like putting a kitchen and a big wrap around porch. It will take a while but we have a lot of ideas in mind on how to use this space.
it will be the homebase for our Duer Creekside Garden and Apiary products wherein we look forward to selling honey among other apiary and garden stuff.
it is by entrance of our property surrounded by our orchard area where we planted fruit trees like Asian Persimons, Asian Pears, Plums, Peaches, Figs and Apples. We will be adding some more variety and grapes as soon as we can and look forward to enjoying the harvest in the future, like 5 years of wait 🀣
