Although it the most wonderful time of the year, safety precaution still exists. Hanging Christmas is everyone’s favorite sport, but hanging them improperly can cause issues for homeowners. Especially when cords are tightly stretched, pinched, or stapled into place. This can damage the insulation and internal wires, increasing the risk of shorts, overheating, or electrical failure. Over time, these issues can extend beyond the lights themselves and affect outlets or home wiring, potentially leading to blown breakers, fire hazards, or costly repairs for homeowners.
