We have had freezing temperatures for over a week. Small heater in the green house is keeping it barely above freezing. Parsley looks fine, chives and catnip do too, but nothing seems to be growing at all. Just staying alive, which is good enough for now. I would not plan to grow herbs over the winter - not cost effective.

Transplanting into new 18inch self watering window boxes, flat leaf parsley , chives and either sage, catnip or basil. I suspect the basil won't make it to Christmas. Potting soil, coconut coir with granulated fertilizer. And watered with fish fertilizer. 11/5/16.
