Before you replace the camera, the lock, or the “bad” smart device, check the network behind it.
A lot of smart-home frustration starts the same way:
• the video doorbell loads when someone is already gone
• the office call freezes in the one room you actually use
• music drops on the patio
• the garage or driveway works… sometimes
Sometimes the device isn’t the weak link.
It’s coverage, placement, wiring, or a network that was never planned around how the home is actually used.
That shows up even more in Evergreen and foothills homes:
larger layouts, dense walls, detached garages, and outdoor spaces that matter just as much as inside.
Quick check:
Where does it fail?
Is it always the same room, deck, garage, or camera?
Did it start after adding more devices?
Are you stacking plug-in fixes instead of planning coverage?
Is there a remodel coming where wiring could be handled cleanly?
Dependable Wi-Fi isn’t the exciting part of a smart home. It’s the part everything else leans on.
