We were contacted by Oceanside Restaurant on Maui and requested if we had the expertise to analyze a system that was suspected to be damaged in a fire that occurred on June 23rd at around 7:15pm. We disassembled the DVR, disconnected the hard drive, analyzed the electronic components of the DVR and observed no water or fire damaged on the components; however, it was not clear if the hard drive was damaged due to heat from the fire. Step by step, we cleared all components from any apparent damage, applied power and booted up the DVR. We are glad to say, that the DVR is 100% operational with video and can be used in the aid of any criminal investigations that might be in progress. Thank You for your business! Good Luck.

Officials say the fire was contained to the outside wall of the back of the restaurant, and the attic above the kitchen.
