One of the best things about my job is working with beautiful fabric. Some I like more than others. This happens to be a fabric I had in stock and one of my ETSY customers requested 2 custom pillows ! We put a different print on each side and I was able to ship them out the same day she ordered them. I love to reuse and repurpose. I purchased these side tables from someone local. They were originally stained wood- but I covered them in a navy grasscloth and had them in my son’s room. To be honest they were a little low to be a nightstand, so I moved them downstairs and tried them next to my sofa! Perfect size , but time to get a facelift with a new wallpaper ! If you are good with wallpaper, and have a piece of furniture with straight lines , this is a great way to bring in color and texture. Wallpaper is not for just walls! I still need a couple of things to close the books on this mini facelift but here is my final product. This involved the following: 1.Taking old grasscloth off the walls (this hurt). 2.Cleaning, Sanding and painting all cabinets,trim, walls, windows doors,and ceilings.3. Replacing broken faucet and beverage fridge 4. Replacing sconce shades 5. Repurposing a rug that was in another room (a good friend helped with this)😉 6. New trim on chairs because I bleached the other trim. 7. New pillows- thanks to my ETSY store!It feels good to wake up to a peaceful kitchen that doesn’t look like it’s been used and abused!

Every year I say to myself, “I’m going to regularly post my work on instagram” Do I do it? No. I’m horrible at it because it is overwhelming to me. What I am good at is helping you narrow down your choices with fabrics and wallpaper! I love it all. This client wanted a simple, clean look so we did a French rod with drapery panels to frame the window, and then layered a textured Roman shade underneath! I was just browsing through all of my photos and ran across this project. It’s a classic, functional, and beautiful window treatment that will not go out of style.

Looks like I left a little something in Happy Valley! I hope Penn State can handle her- it sure wasn’t the same pulling ...
