On this Memorial Day, we remember all those who gave their lives in service of their country. This day is for those who fought and didn't come home, and for those who didn't come back whole, forever changed. We remember. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This is American Ambassador from Summer House Stitche Works, from Terri's own personal collection. It's stitched on linen Sherri walnut dyed herself, and framed with a small black liner and a parchment colored burl frame. This simple beauty is one of Terri's favorite pieces. Perfect to help celebrate America's 250th anniversary and celebrate our roots on this rainy, quiet Memorial Day.

We recently got some new finished corner frame samples in, and it occurred to us that you may not even know that we carry them. These are frames that are carved and made to order for each individual piece of art. The raw wood is joined, then carved, then finished and sent to us. The craftsmanship is absolutely breathtaking. The frames with colored panels can be customized with any paint color, they can change gold to silver and silver to gold- the possibilities are endless. They’re made by AMCI Regence Frames and C&J. We’re happy to order anything they make. Check them out!

Here's a throwback! For this Floral Blessing by Heart's Content, how could we frame it other than using a flower inspired moulding?! Check out the liner, with it's tulip- like design. Perfection! (Also check out all those Queen Stitches! More perfection. Sherri loves doing Queen stitches. Terri, not so much. Lol.) We both love the simple floral perfection of this moulding because it really lets the needlework be the star of the show. 🌷🌷🌷

ETA: We have forwarded the store phone to our cel phone, so we have a workaround in place until Verizon can fix it. Thank you for everyone's patience!!

Phones are out at our store- both the main line (703) 426-0660 and our rollover line have been out since yesterday. To make matters worse, although Verizon has attempted to fix the issue, there's an ENORMOUS mountain of frozen snow surrounding the Verizon box, and frustratingly, they cannot reach it to repair the problem. We do not know when the issue will be repaired, as our sub freezing temps continue, and we are attempting a workaround. Please use the store cel phone in the meantime: 703-870-7937. We are so sorry for any inconvenience!
