So what do you think? Does our newly updated sofa upholstered in 's high-performance fabric in Lake colorway fit perfectly in our home, or what!? You all know how important it is to us to reuse pieces and buy second hand- (I push my clients equally as hard on this too! ). So, when I can bring new life to an old piece, that's always our first choice. And this sofa was no different. It was needing a major refresh, but the bones were still good. Now with that poppy shade of blue and down-filled bench cushion and backs, I have fallen back in love with our old gal! Excuse me while I luxuriate in its softness- lol- I love using that word : )

By following and commenting with your fave swatch color on this post (found on kravet.com - directly browse their site or head to ) any interior designer will receive a free swatch card and be entered for the chance to win 5 yards of fabric in the color of your choice.

The winner will be chosen and notified one week from today- you must be 18 years or older to enter and based in the U.S. or Canada. No purchase necessary- contest is not affiliated with Instagram.

A little bit of holiday is happening in one of our projects and as we design and decorate in conjunction with all the festive moments we’ve decided it feels so pretty that we wouldn’t mind having the berries and tree in here all year long! In fact the new Christmas tree has inspired us to add a large year-round plant to that exact corner!

If you can ignore my awful attempt at covering up the lighting reflections in the frame tv, you may see how awesome this beach area home is turning out! Just because you live close to the water, doesn’t mean your house needs to scream “nautical” or “tropical!” 😉 (also, it looks like I have a thing for reworking fireplaces and sitting plaid chairs near them 😆)

Who wants THIS CHAIR!!!???? We are giving it away baby 🙌🙌 You heard that right! This Milo Baughman, recovered in the snazziest of all fabrics (aptly named plaidtastic “snazzy” by ) could be yours simply because and love you and we love vintage ❤️

Naturally the Fairfield County based -a luxury home consignment dealer, and our team, a design firm who strongly believes in adding 2nd-hand, vintage and antique pieces to every project, teamed up to transform this clean lined piece into the most handsome accent for any space!

The chair arrived in shabby, torn brown cordoroy fabric. Check out our Stories for the "before" beat up condition. No sweat though for us- you know we love a design challenge and we’re not afraid of taking color risks. 💪

And now, the fun part! We're calling all design enthusiasts who want to enter to WIN this SNAZZY transformed MIlo Baughman chair. The rules are easy peasy...To enter, you must:

1. Like this photo
2. Follow &
3. Tag at least 2 design enthusiast friends (1 comment per tag. More tags = more entries. Unlimited entries allowed)

And now the fine print 😉: giveaway runs until midnight 11/17. Winner will be chosen after giveaway closes and will be announced under this post. Not affiliated with Instagram. Must be 18+ to enter. USA only.

If you follow my stories you’ve heard that this sofa is getting a major makeover! Think new fill (you know I’m wrapping it in down), maybe a single bench seat, new legs and 3 rather than 2, fluffier back cushions - sans tufting. Obviously this all comes with new upholstery- and that is where I’m feeling a tad indecisive! I can make major major design decisions for clients- i.e. we are moving the kitchen to the other side of the house or we are tearing down those 3 load bearing walls, bringing in an engineer and adding steel beams to the entire first floor, or you know that weird bathroom in the middle of the living room...that will now be your entryway- but a new sofa color for our 10 year old sofa that we’ve been dreaming about recovering since the day we purchased it, that, THAT is the hardest decision of my life 🤣🤦‍♀️🤣🤦‍♀️🤣

Always fun to see our designs in print! This bathroom-that we built from scratch with a major primary bedroom/en-suite 2nd floor addition-is in this month’s (specifically the vanity for being one of the prettiest teal blues ever!!) I think about this project often, wishing our own en-suite resembled 1/10th of it instead of revealing about 19 loads of dirty laundry when you open the door 🤪

Sometimes we come in, rip everything out (or a lot of it) and start from scratch; other times we work with what’s there and add special touches to it- which was the case in this home. The decorative moulding that this room had was too god to get rid of so we didn’t! Still considering a new stone or tile for the fireplace though- what would you replace the brown granite with?

Craftsmanship and thoughtful details is what took this newly designed mudroom over the top! I don’t think I’ll ever get over how functional and beautiful this Greenwich mudroom turned out ❤️

By far still my favorite room in our house 🏠 and probably the only one I don’t want to rip apart and start all over with! Some changes are coming- even if they are minor to start- I can feel it in my bones 😄

To have or to not have a runner in the kitchen- that’s the hot topic of debate in my stories! I’ve heard from both angles and everyone is making fantastic points from each side of the aisle 🙌🙌 And I have to say this Instagram audience is awesome 👏🏻 because we are able to have healthy discussions and disagreements without being mean and disrespectful, even if it’s about something as simple as a kitchen rug 😉❤️

Swipe to see the before!
