We seek to provide education about gardening, seed saving and growing food. We would like to help others grow their own food to help minimize food poverty. We rely on our community to contribute by donating seeds from plants that they have grown.

This has been the absolute oddest year for us gardening. It's December 24th and it's been in the 30s at night, and we still have jalapeños and strawberries!

As this year comes to a close, I just want to thank everyone for participating in our seed library! We absolutely love the idea of sharing our love of plants with our community.

We will be taking a break and returning in February with new stock and tips. There are still some seeds in the library so feel free to stop by and pick up or leave a few packs.

Here in zones 9 and 10, we can start sunflowers pretty much any month of the year, but what other flowers can you start in September?

Here is a list of about 10 pollinators that I recommend starting from seed this month. These are all great for attracting beneficial insects and adding some color to your gardening space.
