Flower Sale Info!!!!
Hi All! Since I am already getting bombarded with questions regarding the Flower sale I just wanted to touch base.
I have explained this many times each year. For those who are new …. Here is how it works

🌺 All info will be posted here. And I will also share on my page, and Ross talk!

🌺 IF we have the sale ( yes there is always the possibility the sale will not happen) The plants come from a wholesale greenhouse my husband works at. What we receive depends upon what they have left after Memorial Day. This is how it always has been. The only years we did not have it was during Covid when the greenhouse sold out. There is never a guarantee it will happen. I just want to make people be aware of that!

🌺 Its always AFTER Memorial Day!
Generally, Thursday or Friday. But those dates are not set in stone. I will not know until the middle of that week. Once I find out information, I will post it on here.

🌺 please do not ask if I will have a certain variety of plant. I do not know until the first truck arrives. After that point I can gauge what will be available, but I will never post what we have or what we don’t have. Things sell very quickly! There is no way to keep track of it all.

🌺 As we have done in the past two years, when trucks are here and unloading, we will be closed. You will not be allowed to shop during that time. It’s too dangerous and too much happening unloading the trucks.

🌺 It is cash only. Please come prepared. And no, I do not know what the prices will be this year as of now. Hopefully they will stay the same as in the previous couple years.

🌺 parking is always an issue. With that being said, I will have some family members help with parking. We will be parking cars on both sides of the front yard now. Once one section is filled we will point you to go to the other side to park. I know many of you have parked along the side of the road, and that’s your prerogative, but it always worries me when people do..

We look forward to seeing everyone!

Scarlet Pumpkin~The scarlet pumpkin tomato, Potiron Écarlate in French, is a late variety heirloom that produces large fruits weighing around 450 grams but often growing well over 1 lb. The name comes from their color and the ribbed upper section that looks similar to a pumpkin. Their dense, tangy and very fragrant flesh makes them a delight to eat either fresh or as a stuffed tomato. Since the variety has very few seeds, they also make a great sauce or canning tomato.

The Harsh Melons of the Volga Germans~heart-shaped, with a striking orange-brown color. A vigorous, highly productive plant with regular foliage, producing fruits that are resistant to cracking and free of green shoulders. This is an interesting variety, preserved by a Volga German family.

Viva Lindsey’s KY Heirloom~large white beefsteak! Back in 1904 this tomato was given as a wedding present by the Martin family from Kentucky to the Lindsey’s. Some of these fabulous tomatoes can get over 1 pound, but most average between 12oz to 14oz.
