🌿 The Natural Living community in Ahrensbök, Germany continues to grow!

This unique development is being created according to Maharishi Vastu architecture, with homes, apartments, and a Peace Palace designed to support harmony and well-being, and life in tune with nature. Natural wood materials are being used extensively throughout the project.

Here is the latest progress from Vastu architect and project manager Marcus Schmitz:

🏛️ The Peace Palace building is progressing well and is on track to be completed by the end of this year.
🏡 The first Maharishi Vastu home is complete, and Marcus and his family have now been living there for one year.
🏢 Four cooperative apartment buildings with 10 units each, including 70% social housing, are planned to begin construction this September.
🏢 Two additional cooperative apartment buildings with 13 units each are planned for 2027.
🏠 A single-family home and two-family home are expected to begin construction this May.

Student Perspectives on Maharishi Vastu

(From the Enlightenment & Leadership Master’s Program at Maharishi International University)

One of the most meaningful ways to understand Maharishi Vastu is through the voices of students who are studying and living with this knowledge every day. The following reflections come from students in the Enlightenment & Leadership Master’s Program at Maharishi International University, where consciousness-based education is combined with practical disciplines like architecture, sustainability, and leadership.

Ineta speaks to architecture as something deeply practical, yet purposeful:

“The highest purpose of architecture is to create buildings that do more than support survival - they should nourish well-being and improve daily life.”
For her, Maharishi Vastu offers a complete framework - orientation, proportion, symmetry, and site awareness - that helps architecture support the individual while remaining in harmony with its surroundings.

Viktor describes his first direct experience:

“The first time I stepped into a Maharishi Vastu building, I felt an immediate lightness and ease - like stepping into nature.”
He points to simple, tangible principles such as east-facing orientation, sunlight at the right times of day, and the use of natural materials as reasons these spaces feel so supportive and grounded.

Opening this Summer!

A luxury Maharishi Ayurveda health and wellness center located in Pokhara, Nepal, The Vyas retreat, is expected to open in Summer 2026. The center is designed to offer traditional Panchakarma and other treatments in a serene setting with views of the Himalayan mountains and Phewa Lake.

The project is being built according to Maharishi Vastu principles and aims to integrate high-quality natural therapies with sustainable design and local organic meals. Membership options include multi-week stays with room, board, Panchakarma treatments, and Ayurvedic consultations, with flexible use over a defined period.

Situated just off Highway 1, the neighborhood features a new walking and biking path connecting directly to the Fairfield Loop Trail. The final phase is expected to finish in 2027. This marks the completion of Fairfield’s northern campus neighborhood, built entirely according to Maharishi Vastu architecture. 🏡

An exciting update from the Netherlands: In the first week of December, the MERU Academy and the new Residents Building was inaugurated. MERU is the international campus in the Netherlands that serves as the global headquarters of the Transcendental Meditation movement, providing courses, retreats, residencies, and Maharishi Vastu-designed buildings as part of its long-term vision for consciousness-based living.

2025 has already brought major progress to Volodrop, Netherlands:
✅ New Operations Building completed
