Select enigineered quartered sawn White Oak, stained Duraseal Early American and finished with Loba Satin. On this particular floor, being it's on a slab, two coats of Wakol moisture barrier were applied, and a full trowel spread Wakol adhesive was used.

I've been fielding a ton of messages this winter about floors shrinking/ gapping. Every time, it's been because of very low RH in the house. Flooring will expand and contract due to temperature and humidity levels. This time of the year, it's imperative to use a humidifier. In the summer time, air conditioning or a dehumidifier. A worthwhile investment is to get a hydgrometer that will tell you what the current RH is. They can be purchased relatively cheap.

3 1/4 Ash with a Mahogany feature strip and black metal Reggio Registers vent covers. The installation and inlay design were from Dan Bungert at Colonial Shutterworks. The finish used was Loba EZ Satin.

Select 3 1/4 Maple that was installed, sanded and finished with Loba Invisible Protect. Once the casing is fitted, I'll be back for the custom reducer.

Seldom get to work with Red Birch. The wood that's a happy medium between Maple and Cherry. In the kitchen, a few dings near the stove that were repaired with the Loba touch up kit. The main floor had some weaving in and "Dutchman " pieces glued in. The bedroom closet had a chemical burn that sanded out. After quite a few trial and errors with different dyes, and layering, finally got it very, very close to a perfect color match.
