There are no picking times that are reserved, you just come during our hours and pay when you get to the garden!

After watching the caterpillars and chrysalises around the farm, getting to see these beautiful monarchs emerge is pretty incredible. Tulip season may be our favorite, but summer has a little magic of its own. 💛

The tulips may be sleeping but summer has its own magic. 🦋 Our swamp milkweed is covered with monarch caterpillars and chrysalises. We love watching the little wonders happening right here on our farm!

Well...the tulips have all gone to sleep for the year, but life on the farm never slows down!

Last week we showed you one of the kids out with the calves. This week the calves got their "going out clothes" on. 😊 Their show halters are on, they've all had fresh haircuts, and now the real practice begins as we get ready for the county fair.

If you've never seen a show calf up close, they spend a lot more time getting ready than you might think! There's daily leading, lots of brushing, baths, and teaching them to stand quietly. Just like the tulips, it's amazing to watch all the little things add up over time.

While you're waiting for tulip season to return, we'll keep sharing little glimpses of life here on the farm. Around here, there's always something growing, learning, or getting ready for the next season.

Tulip season may be over, but there’s still plenty happening around Rural Route Bulbs! 🌷➡️🐄

While the tulips are resting, we’re getting our calves ready for the fair. It’s one of our favorite parts of the summer, and we can’t wait to share a little behind-the-scenes look at life on the farm.

The tulips will be back next spring but until then, come along for the journey! 💛
