Nash shows us the blocks going up on this industrial cooler.

Block buildings go up every day: basic gray or brown without much character or detail.

Our client wants this building to stand out! Having grown their business for a long time, they want this building to be a staple of where they’re at now.

Together, we decided on a tan split face as a wainscot in the front of the building for some texture. On the columns, to make the building stand out, we did a regal stone which is a black block that is polished and sandblasted.

To add even more character, we also added a charcoal row of blocks across the top to visually break up the tall, 34 foot walls.

We’re shining a light on this project from our portfolio: a brand new home built from the ground up on a hilltop in Fallbrook.

A dream in the making for years, the Youngren Construction team helped the family through every step of the land development, planning, building, and finishing process. What a journey we were honored to share.

This open concept home is built with lofty 10' to 16' vaulted ceilings and strategically placed archways. The size is comfortable for daily living with amazing views from every room. The cohesive use of materials throughout this 2,300 square foot home offers a seamless transition between each space.

It was so amazing watching this home come to life step by step, making sure every little detail was dialed in.

More work on this industrial cooler.
The walls are wrapped up and we’re jumping into the next phase with structural foundation work. While our concrete crews are working on the interior slab, we’re also coordinating with local municipalities to get sewer and fire service connections lined up.

Next step is getting tied in at the street.

Looking ahead, trusses have already been delivered and are onsite. Once the foundation is complete, we’ll start setting trusses while the concrete crew shifts over to site work.

HFOT home build update!

Our team is making great progress on the Homes For Our Troops home for the Wakeling family here in Fallbrook. Project Manager John talks us through the most recent updates.

A fun next step will be the concrete pour, when the family will place their handprints (and any furry friends' paw prints) in their home’s cement. Just one way to make the place their own!

Great work to everyone, and we can’t wait to see this one finished so the Wakelings can move into their beautiful, specially adapted custom home.

Nash continues our walkthrough of this VA home remodel.

With all of the planning and paperwork taken care of, the Youngren Construction team set out to put the plans into action.

In addition to the accessibility upgrades, the client wanted to update the house and modernize it. So our team gutted the entire inside, put on a new roof, added on to the kitchen, remodeled all of the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Now the house is modern, open, accessible, and set up for decades of comfort and enjoyment.

Nash talks us through this home remodel project.

For several months, our team worked on a total home renovation of a 1970’s era house in the city of San Diego.

This project was through the Veteran's Association (VA), who funded part of the project.

Our team worked with the client to plan out the project, making it more accessible and safe. We collaborated with the VA Agent and the homeowner to establish the scope of the project and all the details.

It's a lot of work and collaboration, but we are experienced in knowing which details to sort out so construction runs smoothly.

Each unit has an office and bathroom up front and large warehouse space in the back (with a roll up door and semi access). These units are really ideal for small business owners who want to own their own space.

Just a few weeks to go and these will be ready for business owners to move in!

Scott updates us on the commercial flex warehouse project out in Missoula, Montana.

We’re down to the finishing stage, with the parking lot poured and striped and exterior buildings finished. Now the crews are working on getting the interior spaces and exterior landscaping wrapped up.

Once inside, you can see the potential of each unit. Each has an office and bathroom up front and large storage space in the back (with a roll up door and semi access).

These units are really ideal for small business owners who want to own their own space.

It’s been quite the accomplishment these past months, managing the project from Fallbrook both virtually and through on-site visits. It’s been a challenge at times, but our team and subcontractors really pulled it off.

Just a few weeks to go and these will be ready for business owners to move in!
