This gorgeous wet bar sink and faucet sat in storage for five months, but they're installed now, and they were worth the wait. There's still so much to do in the wet bar area alone, but moments like these feel like a victory.

Progress can often feel so illusive- especially these past few years. And frustrations are very real. It's at times like these when it's so important to remember that home takes time. As we patiently allow our homes to come together in their own time, we will be blown away by the results.

So, take a moment to breathe and rejoice in the small steps that come with progress. Celebrate every little victory. Doing this will help you create joyfully and gratefully.

It's already week 4 of the , and I'm feeling the pressure! Are we going to finish on time? Probably not. But at least the doors are installed, and they look gorgeous!

Are you surprised that we decided to paint and prime? I am a little surprised in myself, because the wood on the first door was so stuning. But we didn't have the energy or time to restore these beauties all the way.β €I do think that they look pretty amazing painted, though.

Have you ever heard of the One Room Challenge, also called the ORC? If you haven't, it's a room transformation that happens in 8 weeks hosted by ORC and Apartment Therapy. A community of talented designers, DIYers, and homeowners/renters come together to create some really amazing spaces, and we are so grateful to be apart of it.

For this challenge, we're doing this awkward space in our basement, and transforming it into a functional and beautiful guest space.

We are full believers that your home should reflect your life, your interests, your habaits, your likes. Your home should be incredibly personal, and needs to tell your story.

We can be inspired by own life by looking at art we love, our favorite trips, our memories of our childhood home, etc. And the more we look to our own life for inspiration, the more personalized, time-less, treasure filled our homes will become.

I stumbled across this post a few days ago, and it just resonated with me.

I think for many people (myself included), it can be so hard to learn to look with our hearts and design for ourselves. It can be a vulnerable practice to sit with your home and decide what speaks to your heart, what speaks to your family.

What holds us back? The approval (or lack thereof) from others? Perfection? Lack of self assurance? Lack of practice?

This week, I encourage you to practice looking with your heart, and let go of the things that no longer connect with you.
