Gotta love it when the amenities are already in place when you arrive to work. Always nice to have a fire burning to keep the hands (and minds) warm on a frigid morning.

Finished this 18’ x 18’ circular dedicated fire pit and flagstone patio five years ago. Starting a third project for this repeat customer in Springfield, Virginia today. It’ll be another Pennsylvania random flagstone patio project with some fieldstone walls.

This project included leveling the right side of the house to make a useable play yard for kids by creating a modern veneered flagstone retaining wall, updating the look of the existing stoop to match the new retaining wall, moving existing mature trees to visually open up the front entry, install new modern metal handrails/guardrails, and a new double concrete paver driveway and lead walkway (the original drive was one car width).

In 18 years of installing patios and outdoor living spaces, this has to be one of my most favorite messages from a customer.

A few joys from work during this emotionally draining pandemic: meeting a new doggie almost everyday on their walks in neighborhoods we are working, honking my LOUD air horn at all the little kids chalk painting their driveways and seeing their eyes light up and start jumping up and down waving, and little faces plastered to back doors watching our every move all day long with no school.

What a crazy year for all of us. I think the outdoor spaces we have created this year for our customers and their families will be put to good use with restrictions being tightened up again for the holiday season. Hoping they bring a small bit of comfort and release over the winter months.

This outdoor space in Falls Church completes this month includes much needed patio space, a gas fired fire pit, bench seating, lighting for the evening, and a built in hot tub.

It’s spring and that means spring cleaning. Get those outdoor spaces shining and ready for summer entertaining.

I’ve used Barcroft Power Washing before at my home and work trucks but started referring them to our residential and commercial clients this year. I’ve been impressed with their responsiveness, attentiveness to the customers, and attention to detail in their work.

A group of local (Falls Church, Virginia) 2020 graduates putting their extended summer to good use. Ethan, Joe, Bennett, and Davis have worked hard to develop a business that focuses on the Client’s needs. I recommend them highly, they really do amazing work.

Thanks for organizing and letting us be involved. Having a physician as a parent and a wife that’s a nurse, I’m familiar with the risks they take on ‘normal’ shifts, can’t imagine the stress of the current situation. Thank you for all you do.
