Most people see this and think: bad shingles, old roof, too much sun, bad install — or “that’s just normal.”
Sometimes that’s part of it.
But a roof usually doesn’t fail because of one thing. It fails when the whole system wasn’t thought through.
A contractor might say, “Yep, you need vents.” And they may not be wrong.
But the real questions are: what type, how much, where’s the intake, where’s the exhaust, how’s the attic insulated, and does the whole thing actually work together?
That’s the stuff that decides whether a roof lasts.
Same goes for siding, decks, windows, additions, and everything else tied to your home. It all works together.
The small details usually decide the big outcome.
That’s why we slow down, ask better questions, and think through the whole system before we start swinging hammers. 🔨
