When did you last open the cabinet under your sink? 🤔
If you had to think about it - this post is for you.

Slow leaks love to hide under sinks. They drip just enough to do damage but not enough to get your attention. By the time most people notice, the wood is soft, mold has moved in, and a small drip has turned into a much bigger repair bill. 💧

Takes a few seconds to check. Go do it right now - we'll wait. 😄🔧

Keep watching for more spring cleaning tips to keep your plumbing off the emergency list.

PSA for every DFW homeowner: go check your outdoor faucets. Like, today. 👀

Here's the thing about our winters - they're just cold enough to do damage, but not dramatic enough to make you think twice. A mild freeze can crack an outdoor faucet and it'll just quietly drip into your walls all spring while you have no idea. 💧

Takes 60 seconds to check. Could save you a very unpleasant surprise down the road.

Stay tuned for more tips — we're walking you through the checks your plumbing needs this spring. 🌷🔧

Spring cleaning season is here - and your plumbing deserves a spot on the list. 🌷

First up: your drains. Run hot water for 30 seconds and watch how fast it empties. Slow? A clog is already forming, and it's only going to get worse.

Catch it now and it's a simple fix. Ignore it and you're looking at a much bigger problem down the road. 💧

Follow along this spring as we walk you through the plumbing checks your home needs. 🌸🔧

❄️ Prep goes a long way — but if a pipe does burst, here’s what to do. ❄️

It’s stressful, but quick action can help limit damage and get things under control. If you suspect a burst pipe:
🚰 Shut off your main water supply immediately — this is the most important step
⚡ Turn off electricity in affected areas if water is near outlets, appliances, or panels
🧻 Contain the water — use towels, buckets, or shut interior valves to reduce spread
📸 Document what you see — photos and videos can help with insurance later
📞 Call a licensed plumber — even if the leak slows, hidden damage may still exist

How to know a pipe may have burst:
- Sudden loss of water pressure
- Visible water pooling or dripping
- Unusual sounds in walls or ceilings
- Water stains, bubbling paint, or warped floors

Fast action can make a big difference. If you need help, we’re here - 469-895-6028 🤍

❄️ Freeze prep isn’t just about what to do — it’s also about what NOT to do ❄️

When temps drop, avoid these common freeze-time missteps:

🚫 Pouring boiling water on frozen pipes — rapid temperature changes can crack pipes, especially PVC

🚫 Leaving outdoor hoses connected — trapped water can freeze back into the hose bib, even if it's covered

🚫 Relying only on covered pipes — they help, but they’re not a substitute for dripping faucets and opening cabinets

🚫 Waiting until a pipe freezes to find your shutoff or key — that’s a stressful time to be learning

🚫 Ignoring slow drips or water pressure changes — those can be early warning signs of a freeze or forming leak

A little awareness now can prevent a big mess later.

❄️ It’s that time, Dallas… winter weather is headed our way ❄️
A little prep now can help prevent frozen pipes, leaks, and bigger headaches later.

Before temps drop, take a few minutes to:

💧 Drip faucets — especially on exterior walls and overnight

🚪 Open cabinet doors — helps warm air reach pipes under sinks

🚰 Cover outdoor pipes — insulate hose bibs and exposed piping

🗝️ Know where your main water shutoff is — often outside near the street or meter. Make sure you have a key to open the lid and know how to turn it off

🌱 Sprinkler system — shut it off to avoid more ice

🚨 Smoke & CO2 detectors — heaters and fireplaces work harder in cold weather; fresh batteries matter

Small steps now beat a big mess later. Stay warm and stay safe 🤍

Cold weather is here and temps are expected to dip below freezing tonight 🥶 — so here’s your next cold weather prep tip.

When temps hit 32°F or below, be sure to:
💧 Drip faucets, especially on exterior walls
🚪 Open cabinet doors under sinks on outside walls so warm air can circulate

A little drip now beats a big mess later. 💧❄️

Winter prep tip #2: Insulate your outdoor faucets.
This one takes about 60 seconds and protects one of the easiest things to freeze around your home.

The "fancy" option:
✔️ Pop on a $3–$5 foam faucet cover from any hardware or big-box store.

The already-have-it option:
✔️ Wrap the faucet with an old towel
✔️ Cover with a plastic bag
✔️ Secure with tape or a bungee cord

It may not win design awards, but it will stop your faucet from freezing, expanding, and cracking. 😬

More freeze-prep tips coming soon - your pipes (and wallet) will thank you.
