Our design combining hardscape with landscaping, drainage solutions, irrigation, and fresh sod is a great approach to create both functionality and beauty. We used flagstone, natural boulders, and pea gravel for the hardscaping adds a beautiful, natural aesthetic to the front yard transformation. Flagstone creates a durable and visually appealing pathway or patio, while the natural boulders add a rustic touch and help define the space. Pea gravel is great for filling in areas between stones or as a low-maintenance ground cover. These elements work together to enhance both the function and beauty of the yard.
Incorporating French drains and grading into the design was a smart solution for managing water flow and preventing pooling in the yard. The French drains likely helped redirect excess water away from the foundation, while proper grading ensures that the yard has a natural slope to guide water runoff. Combining these drainage solutions with the hardscaping elements like flagstone, boulders, and pea gravel not only improves functionality but also enhances the visual appeal by seamlessly integrating practical features into the design.
