A client this last winter had me take out their tub to install a new shower, but the drain was still against the wall from the tub. Instead of hiring a plumber to hammer up concrete, make a big mess, and move the drain, I used Schluter Systems compensation board to reroute the drain to the middle of the shower floor. I packed the trench with some dry pack mortar, installed the preformed Kerdi shower tray, and boom, beautiful shower floor with a centered drain.

Current project in the works! Sometimes when the boss man gets injured, you’ve gotta step up and challenge your skills to keep the money coming in! I’ve taken this opportunity to sharpen my skills beyond the simple subway tile or 12x24 inch goods. These custom shower builds have been a great chance for me to learn and exemplify what I’ve learned in the past 4 1/2 years!

Welcome! My name is Alek Burt, I’m a tile installer in the Fayetteville area. I have been in the tile installation industry for four and a half years now with the same employer. I’ve created this page as a way to reach out to the local community for people that need assistance getting tile work done in their home.
