The FIRST House I designed in Venice California on the Canals. When I designed this in 1985, there was NOTHING like it.
There were only small beach cottages lining the canals.
Now, there are many like it. I'd like to think I was the first one who designed this Iconic Mediterranean 3 Story Canal Home. :)
I was a young woman, just out of Architecture School.
I sat on Venice Beach on an awesome day with a sketchbook where I envisioned a Central Stairway with lots of light and everything spirals off of it. The builder put some touches from an Old Spanish Mansion he was remodeling, so it turned out really cool :)
