Freckled Hens, I’ve tried to record a video countless times, but I cannot get through the words without sobbing. It’s just so hard to encapsulate a decade of business & our immense gratitude for your support in one single post. ❤️
This will be Freckled Hen’s last holiday season. ❤️
We are so incredibly thankful for you & your endless support from day one.
As you know, I’ve had four little boys in the last three years - simply typing that is still so wild to me 😂 - and at my core, I just want to spend more time with them.
This journey of building & running a small business has surpassed any dream or vision I could have ever had nearly a decade ago. Together alongside a really incredible team, we’ve done some really cool stuff.
I know this may feel a bit abrupt - we’ve had a really amazing year - we launched our charm bar & introduced apparel. Sometimes I wonder if I am absolutely crazy or making the right decision.
But y’all, time is fleeting. 🥹 And this isn’t my season to run a small business that doesn’t feel so little anymore.
If you’re wondering - I’m keeping the brand - it’s just too closely tied to my family & our story to ever really put a price tag on it - in hopes of opening something a little closer to home & our roots once our family takes a really deep breath.
As for now, we are continuing business as usual through the holiday season! I am still restocking & filling the store with beautiful things. We are still hosting workshops & events. Santa is still coming! We are still helping you find the perfect gifts & even wrapping them, too. 🎁
We’ll then close up shop in mid January. More details on that to come.
So if you’ve not been into the shop in awhile or you’d like to experience one last magical holiday season at Freckled Hen, I’d love for you to come by so I can hug your neck and thank you in person for making all of this possible. 🫶💓
