After two decades as an interior designer and a mother, one thing I know for sure is that both business and life require flexibility.

There was a season when I only offered design consultations because my children were younger and that was what allowed me to serve well without stretching myself too thin.

Today, my business looks different. I now choose projects that offer the best alignment between me, the client, the scope, and the season I’m in.

That kind of clarity did not happen overnight. It came through experience, motherhood, mistakes, refinement, and learning that every “yes” has a cost.

The goal was never to build a business that looked successful from the outside but left me depleted on the inside.

Those closest to me know that before I ever had professional aspirations, titles, or accomplishments, I simply dreamed of being a mother to many. Long before I imagined the life I have now, I prayed for a full home, deep love, and the privilege of raising a family of my own. Today, I look around and realize those prayers became my reality. 😭

No matter what I achieve professionally, they will forever be my greatest creation and the sweetest reminder that God still answers prayers. Whenever life feels heavy or I begin to doubt myself, I can look around at my family and remember just how faithful He has been to me. 🤍🙏🏽 Thank you Jesus for the fruit of my womb.

Watching them Saturday night , I didn’t see kids getting ready for prom.

I saw confidence and character.

Ava is graduating next month—Dallas a rising senior. Tonight looked the same on the outside…
but it held two very different moments for me.

Moments like this remind me just how quickly time moves—and how beautiful it is to witness who they’re becoming. 2026
