Hello friends, I just wanted to post that we have had several Monarchs visiting our Showy milkw**d. We started planting a Monarch fly staion last year. It feels so good that the Monarchs are coming. They are so beautiful. We hope to see some caterpillars. The milkw**d are also a nectar plant for the adults. I have started putting rotting fruit out for them also. They like to feed on that.
It is very fun and inspiring. I haven't been able to get a picture of one on a milkw**d yet but when I do I definately will post it!

Appearantly California Native harvest brodiaea likes garlic.

Hello friends, the Woodland strawberries are ripe. We have one gallon pots available for 10.00. Woodland strawberries make a wonderful, yummy, ground cover. They are easy care and will grow in shade or full sun. They grow best and have a better crop with some summer water.

Our Showy milkw**d is in full bloom. These are some of our nursery milkw**d plants that we grew from seed and planted along our vegetable garden fence.
I also saw a Monarch flutter through our yard today. I sure hope we get some caterpillars this year. We have lots of milk w**d plants for sale and we also give away a free milkw**d plant with every purchase.

This is one of our Linum lewisii plants. Other known as blue flax or prairie flax. Prairie flax is a really sweet, beautiful, little perennial. It likes sandy or loamy sales. This plant is in a somewhat claylike soil. It likes full sun and needs little, if any, summer watering.
